Motorcycle Swing Arm Bag for 02 sportster 1200 custom
Comment: Great bag for the price. Left side bag fit my 02 sportster 1200 custom, right side bag would have hit my pipes (but right side bag fits my husband's 09 softail on the left side frame perfect, even with pegs). Had to make some adjustments to attach; cut/ used drill to put slots thru back so that straps could be on inside of bag. Well worth the little bit of extra work.

Comment: After my first ride I noticed the bag was hanging wrong. After further review, the straps on the bag tore away. So I removed the bag and had to put pop rivits and gorilla glue on the back straps. Now the bag is very strong and looks great on my 05' Fatboy!
Comment: Best price I've found, great quality, would recommend to anyone
Best Answer:We do not have bike specific information for these bags. You would have to measure to see if they would fit. Turn signals to back of driver seat for length. Top of fender down to 2 inches above the exhaust for height.
Will this fit a 2007 sportster xl883c? Does it need a bracket to fit and does it come with the bag if so?

Best Answer:It is more made for the softail or hard tail frames as it has a very triangular geometry to the way the straps are attached. With that said, it is a bag. It can be mounted on anything you want to mount it on - though it may look goofy and since the sportster only has one bar as a swingarm the bottom of the bag will not have anywhere to mount and would be floppy. This bag is not optimized for a sportster.
I think it should fit the swing arm on your bike. I have a Fatboy but I am pretty sure these bags are pretty generic and will fit whatever bike you have. It does not come with a bracket. There are straps on the back so that you strap it to the swing arm. The quality of the bag is very good. I hope that helps you out. Ride Safe!!
I'm not sure if it will fit on a 2007. I put this on a 2014 softail slim. If there is a metal arm then it will fit. The best solution I found to attach this bag is: I bought extra strength double sided Velcro from lowes and attached it that way. It is very snug and hasn't budged since I put it on my bike.
it would definitely fit a Sportster, it does not come with any sort of bracket but has for straps on the back that make it universally mount to just about anything. I believe there are brackets available through other sites that could be used for this also but they're not necessary.
The SA2011 and 2012 bags are designed for use on rigid customs and
monoshock swingarm designs like those found on Harley Softails and Yamaha
V-stars. At eleven inches tall, the 2011 bag is a little bit smaller than the
2012 bag at fourteen inches tall. The 2011 bag is designed to be mounted to the
right side of the bike and the 2012 mounts to the left. The right side setup of
the 2011 will only work on a small amount of custom motorcycles, or motorcycles
with street sweeper exhausts that leave the right side of the swingarm exposed.
For the rest of you, with exhaust on the right side of the bike, covering the
right side of the swingarm, the 2012 bag is the right choice. The 2012 is
designed to be mounted to the left side of the swingarm which is unobstructed on
almost all models. Mounting is very easy. There are four straps on the back with
double d-rings so the bag installs and uninstalls in a snap. This bag also
includes a shoulder strap that makes carrying the bag easy, for those of you
that think the beating is worth it. These swingarm bags are made of a sturdy
manmade material that is UV and water resistant and the main closures are
comprised of quick release buckles that are hidden beneath these classic looking
