Tour Master Lawndale Jacket Review

by - verified purchaser
Received Tourmaster Lawndale jacket and am enjoying it more than any other article gear ever purchased. – Been waiting all my life for somebody to make a jacket like this. Appearance: Long wanted a jacket that could also work as business casual, this jacket has a business like appearance on or off my ride. Wear it into the office, church and restaurants instead of locking it on the ride. Fit: Am 6’-1” tall, about 210lbs, with skeeter, long arms - Ordered an XL and hoped. Most jackets leave my wrists exposed and/or bag at the waist but the fit on this one was almost perfect. Checked the fit over the insulated coverall I wear for winter riding. Was a bit of a struggle but got it on even with the liner in. Ventilation: The underarm vents are very effective and the other ones work well enough. On warm days, it is probably better than most leather jackets. Pockets: Lots of pockets. The pockets are reason enough to buy the jacket. Quality: The quality seems 1st rate in every way, no complaints except for the cheezey Velcro tabs on the wrist openings – snaps, lads, snaps – snaps on longer tabs. Would have been happier if the waist adjustments had snaps or buckles instead of Velcro there too. Not a big deal. Complaints: Just one, the snap at the neck is not really up to the task. On hot days when riding fast, unzipped, with just the snaps holding the jacket closed sometimes that one lets go. Will probably take it to the shoemaker next year and have something heavy duty put in place. Rating: About 4.5 out of 5.0
