Great Jacket!!!

Comment: Received this jacket in about 5 days. Opened the box and tried it on. The quality is superb and it fit me perfectly. I love the zip off sleeves for those days when only a vest is required. I'm sold on Jafrum and will order more in the future. The price is excellent!!!

A bit snug

Comment: This is a very well made jacket. The features it has along with the great price were the reasons I chose it. Unfortunately, it is cut a bit low in the armpit area. While the jacket I ordered fit me fine in every other way, the armpits were too tight so I opted to return it.

Good, but..

Comment: It's a well made jacket, high quality leather, good zippers, nice and subtle detail on the sides. Fits real well around chest, shoulders, waist. The only problem that I found, and the reason I had to return it, is that the sleeves don't have a tight clasp or zipper at the wrist. So, when you're riding, the wind goes in thru the sleeves at the wrist, and when you're not riding and just standing with your arms by your side, the sleeves hang below my knuckles, almost covering my entire hand. Ridic. Small detail, but critical. A

The River Road Mortar Jacket two front and one rear vents zippered or wide opened ? Thanks Manuel

Best Answer: it has 2 upper front zipped vents and one long upper zipped across the back. I actually love this jacket. Great for the price not to mention the sleeves zip off and the inner lining as well.

This Mortar Jacket from River Road is made of very soft premium cowhide leather. Yeah well, so are a lot of jackets. So, what makes this one special? Well, check this out. If you lift up these flaps on the shoulders, you’ll expose some zippers. Unzip the zippers, and now you have a pair of leather kid’s chaps, or some cowhide capris. Ok, no you don’t. But, you have a vest. That’s right. The mortar Jacket is also the Mortar vest. It doesn’t seem like that big of a deal until you realize the savings. A new top quality leather jacket and vest separately can cost well over five hundred bucks. With this design you get both, and when you see the price at Jafrum, well, let’s just say it’s little. It’s like the bullied pipsqueak of prices. Another obvious benefit to removable sleeves is convenience. Not only do you no longer have to carry around two separate pieces of gear, you don’t even have to swap your bring-along items from one jacket to another. You’re going to be so spoiled.
The features of this jacket are pretty classic, and will work well with lots of different styles of bikes. Adjustability, is facilitated by these lace up gussets on the sides. The cuffs of the sleeves are also gusseted, to make the jacket easy to get on and off. For added mobility, the shoulders feature these expansion joints, and the lower back has some stretchiness to it as well.
If you unsnap the euro style collar and unfasten the all metal zipper, you will find the removable, quilted thermal liner. This liner does a pretty good job of holding in your body heat, and is equipped with a pocket system for carrying your whatevers. The shell has the same pocket system for rides when the liner is not being used. The sleeves are also lined, but the liner isn’t removable. You have some additional storage, as well, on the outside of the jacket in the form of these fancy hand warmer pockets.
