The rainsuit fits very well and is well made. Feels very durable for the low price. Haven't worn it in the rain yet but, I'm sure it's only a matter of time and I'm confident this suit will be great. Wonderful service from Jafrum as usual. Great value.

Got the suit and it is high quality for 35 dollars. Heck it's good quality for 60 - 75 dollars from what I've looked at. The sizing is true to size. I'm 6'2 " and 270 and it fits perfect. I almost went for the XL because my chest is 51 inches but I waer a 2XL in Speed and Strenth and a River Road Jacket. The 2XL jackets fit almost perfect. No eatra room and if I'm 10 LBS, lighter they fit poerfect then. This suit fits perfect over my riding pants and jacket so I can have my protection and keep dry too. So use you measuring tape and go by the measurements and take into consideration the size of your jacket too.
I got the red and black suit and I like the way it is made and colors........Well, one good thing happened since I got it I had no rain and haven't put it on.......But when it does I'm sure the med. that I wanted will be a good fit and keep me dry....................Thanks Jafrum for the fast develivery that you always do for me...You guys are the best!
I have not had the oppurtunity to wear the rain suit yet. But when I received it I was very pleased with the quality and detailing of the suit.
Got the rain suit. Haven't gotten to use it in the rain yet. Measure yourself and buy the size it says for your measurements and it will fit. It will fit OK over just your street clothes and it fits over your jacket and over pants too. Just measure and order the size that corresponds. The suit is very nice, high quality and for the price you can't go wrong.
When I frist seen these I was very skeptical. I drive a HD road king as my primary vehicle. And |I live in north Florida and we get heavy rains that pop up. Like so many of us rain gear is a must have on the bike. I watched the video and did a lot of research before I invest. Well rain gear like this was from 80.00 - 200.00 dollars. So I went and bought this for some 30 dollars. I have been pleased with this rain gear . It has kept me dry and the heat pads on the legs repel the heat from the exhaust. |The only draw bacj is the zippers are hard to zip up. They almost feel like they are going to tear. But so far they are holding up. The other draw back there is now hood to go under your helmet. |The Velcro is the best I have seen or used. It really stays together. I wear a 2x jacket with armour and got the 3x which fits great. The pants Has draw strings instead of suspenders . But for me I like the draw string. The pants fit fine and dont slide down. ||I would recommend these to other bikers and non-bikers.
Even after reading the reviews, I was still amazed at the quality of the suit for the price. Knowing the product ahead of time, it would still be a value at full price. The fit is perfect and although I haven't used it while on the bike, I'm certain that it will do the job perfectly. The fit in all the key places to keep me dry are well put together. I will continue to share this suit with bikers that I meet along the way.
Rain gear that fits over your leathers and still lets you move is the best test, besides keeping out the rain! HIGHLY recommend.
Great item @ a great price..kept me dry in a downpour.. Went by size chart * it fit perfect.. I would have ordered 1 size larger, chart is right on
Based on the price I was really surprised at how good the quality is. I went by the sizing chart and it fits perfectly with plenty of room for whatever you might be wearing underneath. VERY SATISFIED
I got 2 of these after getting soaked in my old rainsuits. these are very well made and I don't think you can find a better deal on them. would recommend them.
Bought this to replace a set of Frog Toggs that got too close to the muffler. Very good quality for the money. Order 1 size larger than you think you wear.
very nice rain suit for the money -fits well--- well made and yes it keeps you dry -ive used it several times since receiving it -..very impressed --so impressed I ordered one for my son who was equaly impressed -very much worth the money definitly rate it a 10
Great quality and great fit to go over our existing jackets
Awesome Rain Gear for the price. It shipped fast! Don't go over board on SIZE. If you are a large order large. I made the mistake of ordering 2XL and a L would have been fine.
I order this rain suit because of the reviews. Very well made and it fits perfect,.We got to try it out in the rain and it keep us nice and dry for forty miles in the rain. I showed my buddys at work and they are going to order some. they were very happy at how it was made. all I can say is thank you
This suit was recommended to me by a friend, and it certainly delivered on his promise. I didn't have time to do a wet test prior to taking it along on my trip, and – lo and behold – we hit a big storm. I whipped the suit out, tore of the tags, threw it on, and it did its part. I threw it over heavy pants and a jacket, and it had plenty of room to spare. In fact, it was a bit baggier than I'd like, but that's simply in regards to "appearance." (You know– ya gotta look good when riding! Ha!). The extra looseness didn't cause in issues, like flapping in the wind or getting caught in/on things. It simply didn't fit tight, as a like things too, but I don't think you'll find an over-the-top rain suit that does that. Everything seemed to seal fine. There were no quality issues. (I'll update this review if any evolve.) Everything fit snug at the seems due to the snug elastic bands. And, everything stayed dry. Some "pros 'n cons" to consider– respectively: it's well-priced, it folds up to a very compact size, it seems to dry quickly, it has a front wallet pocket that seems to seal up well, and – most importantly – it keeps you dry. Downsides are that it's a bit "baggy," and it doesn't have shoulder straps (which didn't prove to be a problem, because the elastic bands held everything in place well).
Very quick shipping, nice design. I certainly would recommend the two piece suit. I've only had the opertunity to use it once, but I remained completely dry. Excellent affordable product.
I am very pleased with the rainsuit I ordered. The fit was great (even for a Big/Tall). It is very comfortable and was a great price. I have already used it (got caught in the rain) and can confirm that it works as advertised.
The product shipped as stated, it seems to be a well made product for the price. Haven't had a chance to use it in the rain yet but it appears to be a product that will hold up well. Like the reinforcement locations on typical wear locations on the pants, wasn't expecting that.
The Thunder Under RS5001 two piece rainsuit is made from nylon. Nylon is a good fabric for a rainsuit because it is lightweight, easy to pack, and somewhat breathable. It can also be very reasonably priced. This complete suit with all of the features I'm about to show you is on sale on Jafrum.com for less than forty five dollars. The only downsides to nylon as a rainsuit fabric are that it is not flexible, most rainsuits aren't flexible, and it doesn't hold up to sunlight very well. All that means to you the rider is that you don't want to lay it out in the sun for extended periods of time to dry. If you take proper care of a nylon suit it will provide you with protection from the elements for many years and miles.
This rainsuit has almost every feature available in this type of apparel, and It is available in five color ways. The suits are primarily black with accent color choices of blue, yellow, orange, red and gray. There are high viz strips across the back and near the cuffs of the pants.
Let's take a closer look at the three quarter length jacket. This jacket has a durable plastic zipper that is covered by these dual panels and secured with a hook and loop system to ensure a waterproof closure. All the seams are tape sealed as well to keep the water out. The dual pockets on the front of the jacket have full width hook and loop closures making them nearly completely waterproof and share the highlight color of the shoulders.
The fit on this jacket is very good. There is a stretchy band all the way around the jacket to reduce buffeting at speed. The only adjustment features that are missing on this jacket that would be nice are maybe some adjusters on the sleeves and a draw cord system at the opening. They're nice to have to keep the jacket quiet especially if you ride a bike with little or no wind screen. The cuffs have stretchy material all the way around for a secure fit.
The interior of the jacket has been equipped with a mesh lining. This will help wick moisture away from your skin and also keep the rain gear from sticking to your skin when you start to sweat.
Now let's get a look at the pants. The waist of the pants is stretchy all the way around and has a draw string for adjustability. The cuffs of the legs are also adjustable. Open this high viz clad hook and loop closure to expose the zippered expanders with waterproof gussets. The pocket on the pants has a hook and loop closure system and is almost completely waterproof. There are reinforced panels in high wear areas on the both the backside and also on the legs where the fabric can come into high heat areas and rub on footpegs. The legs also have removable stirups to help keep your pantlegs from riding up and letting water into your boots.
This has been a closer look at the Thunder Under RS5001 Two Piece Motorcycle Rainsuit.
The jacket has lasted but i ripped the pants when i was rushing to get them on in a sudden down pour.
Sorry it took me a few days to answer your question. The jacket has a mesh lining. The inside of the pants feels like a rubbery material rain proof lining. I've used it once during a downpour and it kept me very dry. I'm very please with my purchase.
I purchased this rain suit about a year ago and have had several opportunities over the summer to see how well it performs. I ride about 10,000 miles a year in city-country mix conditions.
I live in Central Florida and some of our summer rain storms are like hurricanes without a name.
To begin with, this suit does not have a hood. I was a little concerned with that when I purchased it but I reasoned that I wear a full face helmet and have a full size wind screen so maybe I could get by.
For the record, not once did I ever have rain running down my neck or back due to not having a hood. This is true for both highway speeds and well as stop-and-go city driving where rain tends to puddle.
This suit kept me bone dry in the heaviest of summer Florida thunderstorms! Now with that said, it's also a little hot for humid summer weather. I keep the front partially unzipped to let in some wind so I don't roast and I stop to take off the suit once I've cleared the rain.
The quality of this rainsuit is outstanding and I am not one to offer praise that is not warranted. In a world where it seems nearly everything is shoddy crap from China, this rainsuit sets a standard for others to match.
The material, the stitching, the overlapping velcro, the zippers, and even the elastic foot straps are all well made. When you consider that this suit is half the cost of the better known brands, it becomes a steal.
That is a characteristic I have noticed with Jafrum's products - they have all been excellent quality.
In summary, this rainsuit does not have a hood and I cannot recommend one that does, but this suit is money well spent so choose wisely.
