Please note all measurements are in inches.
Comment: I've had the jacket for a couple of weeks and love it. The weather has finally reached the 90's and this jacket provides protection without being unbearabablly hot. The two separate liners let you add a layer for rain protection and a light quilted liner for cooler mornings, or wear both liners at once. Plenty of snaps and button to keep the liners in place. Pockets in the jacket, plus pockets in the same places in both liners.
Arms are plenty long with adjustable straps on sleeves and sides to keep everything snug. Fits true to size. I'm 5'11", 185, and the Large fits snug in the chest with plenty of room in the arms and shoulders, to allow movement. Great jacket!
Most versatile jacket
Comment: Bought this for my husband for Father's Day.
Turns out to be an extremely versatile jacket. Goes from cold to hot riding weather by removing different liners. Runs pretty true to size if not a little big. We have yet to ride in 90 plus but if it is anything like my mesh jacket, as long as you keep moving...you keep cool. Nice styling as well.
Good Summer Gear
Comment: Seems to run alittle small. Air flows nice while moving. Best summer jacket I have used to date.
Tour Master Intake Air 3 Mesh Jacket Review
Comment: To anyone considering a purchase of the Tourmaster Air Intake 3 jacket, this product is pretty much as advertised and shown on the video. I am a sixty year old man looking for more protection in hot weather so I did a lot of research and this jacket in it's price range and reviews looked good. Even though I have a Transitions 3 jacket and love it I still was looking at other jackets. I received the jacket on Saturday and wore it Sunday in 85 degree temperature it works as advertised, one of the reviews I read said the air flow was better then a tee shirt and to my amazement this is true. Even on a bike with fairing and windscreen halfway up. Build quality is not as good as my transitions jacket but is close and of coarse by design it has to be lighter to pass air with the perforated holes. Sizing is pretty much on, I'm 5'7 wear a large jacket and have 33" sleeve length, sleeves are long till I'm extended on the bike and then fit perfectly. The jacket is hot at a standstill no getting around that without some kind of air conditioning. Time will tell if it wears well and I'm hoping I never see a crash to test how the padding works. For color I chose silver so it would reflect the heat. My wife is going to try the jacket and if she likes it will order the high vis yellow for herself. I never felt completely safe riding in a tee shirt so if this is you try one of these jackets.
The TourMaster Intake Air Series 3 jacket is a great option for the rider
looking for all weather functionality and excellent touring and commuting
features in a standard length chassis. This jacket is constructed primarily of
highly breathable Armor-Link mesh with bits of 600 denier Carbolex at the
openings and 1680 denier ballistic polyester panels in the shoulders and elbows
for protection. Also for protection,
added CE rated armor in the shoulders and elbows with a foam pad added to the
back to protect your spine. You also have reflective piping throughout the
chassis and the
TourMaster triangle on the back to increase your visibility in poor light.
Inside the jacket, at the bottom rear of the shell, is a fabric tendon with a
zipper to attach a pair of riding pants. This feature helps keep your armor in
place and protects your skin in a slide.
The huge size range and adjustability makes this Intake Air jacket incredibly
versatile. It’s available in men’s regular sizes extra small to three X, tall
sizes medium to three X, and women’s sizes extra small to extra-large. There is
a size chart at the bottom of the listing to help you establish your size. This
jacket is also available in six colorways, including this blue color. There are
also red, black, silver, white and high viz yellow colorways available.
Adjustment can be had at the waist with these hook and loop straps that work
with these accordion stretch panels to perfect the fit and manage airflow. This
jacket also has adjustability in the rib area on the back. This is an excellent
feature for taking up the slack and reducing buffeting when all the liners are
removed and you’re wearing just a t shirt underneath the jacket. These same
snaps are located on the sleeves as well for the same purpose. The cuffs of the
sleeves are also adjustable with these hook and loop straps, and feature a
microfiber bead around the opening for comfort.
The same microfiber beading can be found at the opening of the lined mandarin
style collar. You can also see, here, the zippered main closure with a pull tab
for easy use with a gloved hand. If you open the zipper up, you can see the dual
flap zipper cover that makes sure the water stays out. If you open up this
secondary closure zipper, you can see the quilted thermal liner. This liner has
a three pocket system including two pockets on the rider’s left and a third map
style pocket on the right. If you unzip the thermal liner’s connection zippers,
you can see the mesh lined waterproof and breathable Rainguard liner with two
additional pockets. Remember, any pockets located inside of the Rainguard
membrane will be protected from the elements, and a good spot for your wallet,
cell phone, etc. If you are using the thermal liner without the waterproof
liner, which you can do by the way, your items will not be protected, so keep
that in mind. If you unzip the waterproof liner from the shell, you can see the
same pocket setup that is located in the thermal liner. Also note that the
liners are held in by color coded snaps with cords at the cuffs of the sleeves
and in the back, so make sure you have these unfastened before attempting to
remove any part of the Aqua-Therm liner system. The last element of storage can
be found on the shell in the form of these zippered hand warmer pockets.
Again, the TourMaster
Intake Air jacket is a great choice for the commuter or tourer looking for a
feature packed multi season jacket at an incredible price.
