Comment: I honestly didn't think I'd get such quality for the price. This was the only site I found where chaps like these were under $200!!!! The leather is thick, strong and soft. It's like someone broke them in for me already! If you are new to buying chaps like me, get your pants size. They don't fit like pants and there is more give in places where pants are a tight fit. (Hips!) There is also a sweet little bit of elastic on the inside of the thigh for extra comfort. There is no need to get a size larger. I work with leather and when they say adjustable legs, it's true. Don't be afraid to cut to length. Leather does not fray and the seams are sewn well. I am delighted with my purchase and look forward to future bargains!

I came across these searching the web. They looked okay and were in my price range. I have to say I didn't really expect much. They arrived fast, were of good quaility and looked rather expensive. Comment: They were delivered quickly. I was wondering what quality they would be for the price and have been pleasently surprised. A little stiff at first but that is to be expected. Like a pair of gloves or boots they will break in. I took a 600 mile round trip right after delivery. The last 200 miles of the return got pretty cold and these made a world of differance. The nice thing compared to my old chaps is I can wear these in milder weather as well with the zip out insulation. Thanks, Jim

Comment: Could not believe these prices... Was skeptical about being ripped off. Could not be further from the truth! The LC405 chaps are excellent quality for $150 chaps, no less $50! There is one difference from the picture given for this item (and the reason I gave 4.5/5): The belt is different, not bad, just different. I have a 23.75" thigh and ordered the XL. Tried them on & wrong size! Just ordered the Large as replacement. Will order again from Jafrum!

Comment: Bought mine a few weeks ago.We get down around 40 degrees in the early morning hours and it was a must to have something over my legs. I am 5'8" and 225 (stocky), and the thigh measurement indicated a 2XL. Trying them on, the leg length (crotch to bottom of boot) was perfect. The overall fit was not too tight & not too loose (with insulating liner zipped in). It is sized like in the product picture at all. I've ridden with the chaps 6-8 times to work and LOVE the way they keep my legs from freezing. I got caught in a light rain one morning and the water just sheeted right off the chaps and didn't permeate into the liner, not even at the zippers. Absolutely does what they're supposed to do. I find them fairly easy to put on. The fat zippers are pretty easy to manipulate to get started. Good snaps down around the boot cuff. Very easy to take off too. I don't know what they will feel like when the liner is removed though, seems like they will be fairly loose around the legs, we'll see. Overall I'm happy, cheap price, great cold insulation, looks good, way better injury protection in the event of a crash, and did I mention the cheap price!

He rode a couple of times in the 40's and really wanted a pair of chaps to be able to ride in colder weather. He got these at the end of November and has used them four or five times already. I was worried about the fit. I was not able to take the measurements, but they fit great and he can ride in 20 degree weather now if he wants to!

For review purposes, I'm 6'3", 215 lbs, 38 inch waist. My leg measured 26, and I went one up size for the 2XL. Probably should have ordered as measured, as I'm on the last belt loop. With the z/o liners, have plenty of room, tho. Quality, price, quick shipping...buy them.

Comment: This pair fills the bill to a tee. With short legs and long body, had to trim length for a fit. Probably do not need chaps here in in San Antonio,Texas, but we have the hill country that gets pretty chilly in the winter months and we ride year around. Ran through a rain storm last week and this heavy buffalo leather kept me dry and comfortable. Wish I had them years ago. Good buy, great chaps, outstanding price.

Comment: I am very Happy with my Chaps. I am a daily rider, rain, wind, heat what ever. I am amazzed how warm I am at night along the water front going to and from work. I am also happy that they are well made. I did have them tailored and had to tighten the back of the waist. I went by the size guide and it worked out well enough. I love my chaps. Ride safe.

Comment: I purchased a pair of insulated chaps recently and recieved them in an acceptable amount of time, tried them on once and when i went to wear them the next time the metal piece at the top of the zipper came off, so i couldnt zip them.and couldnt wear them on that occaision. took them to a local tailor and had new zippers put on.. 24 bucks. now the chaps are great. still worth the money. just faulty zippers on the pair i bought.

Comment: I like the zip out liner. Good quality heavy leather and stitching. Only problems are after I wore them three times, one of the zippers broke. I fixed it myself after the ride. Maybe a YKK zipper would be better quality. Also the belted waist leather is much lower grade of leather. Other than that, you can't beat the price!

Comment: The chaps were a great value but the sizing was off. If you are athletic in build, the thigh and waist measurements will not work well. Plan on having them taken up by a leather worker or the waist will be too big.

Comment: The chaps themselves are a decent quality and decent liner. The zipper on left leg broke the first use. Fixed it myself but again it broke on the second use. I will be taking it to a repair shop to put in a YKK zipper. The one that comes on these chaps is very cheap.

Comment: When I received the chaps I was very pleased with the quality and looks. I had to send them back to get the next size bigger which was a very simple process. It is best to order a size larger than the sizing chart suggests. I have been wearing them on mornings when it is in the thirties and they keep me warm.I will continue to order products from Jafrum because of the service and the prices. Great company.

Comment: As with all their leather products, you get excellent value for the price. They work great. The zippers are sturdy. The zippers, though, are just a bit rough. I imagine with use they will get smoother.

Comment: Warm was what I needed. These chaps delivered. Sizing runs small. I'm stocky and ordered a 3XL for my 26" thighs. They're a little loose w/insulation. I might have been OK w/2XL, but rather have a little extra room than be too tight. Needed to drop a stud into the seams after cutting them for length. to keep them from unraveling. $2 fix at a tack shop or shoe repair. Still WAY worth the price!!

Comment: Brought our chaps to Maggie Valley for fall riding vacation. Not used to this cold weather but the chaps kept our legs warm even down to the 40's. My husband purchased large & the legs fit great based on size chart but we added anither set of grometts to the back to tighten the waste, mine fit true to size.

Comment: Great price on a nice pair of insulated chaps. I measured my upper thigh at 23 inches and ordered one size larger like they said to, but they are a little tight behind my knee when sitting. I would recommend 2 sizes larger than measured size.

Comment: I went for a 200 mile ride the day the chaps arrived - mid 40's - warm as toast! Wh didn't I buy chaps 20 years ago? Decent quality, leather seems plenty thick enough for extended use and protection. Zip out lining is a bit thin, but every little bit helps. I bought the large - 25 " thigh, which was just right for me at 5'11', 175 lb. I applied leather conditioner which softened them up nicely. I'm happy with this purchase, and would reccommend both Jafrum and these chaps as good value.

Comment: My wife and I both got a pair and were pleasantly surprised. Great chaps for a great price, which makes them even better! Sizing for women is dead on the sizing recommendation. Don't add anything. Men's it's a personal choice. I added a size up as recommended. The chaps are snug with the liner in and a little loose without the liner.

Comment: After price comparison, ordered two pair, one for hubby, one for me. These are a nice heavy weight and the ZO liners work with ease. Followed the sizing chart/fit recommendations and his XL and my S worked great. Quality control is lacking. My stitching is barely acceptable, sloppy, not straight, loops in stitches,uneven corners, his pair had a rivet completely off in the back, and since they come with the panels tied, someone should have caught that, as well as the definite difference in width of the panels where they meet in the back, obviously off, one much wider than the other. Called for a replacement on his d/t defects, I can live with stitch imperfections, doesn't alter safety/function, just looks cheap. CS over the phone was great, but got the "I have to talk with my supervisor" comment, no big deal, hey, I get pecking orders. Thank goodness for smart phones as this expedited the process. Long story longer, we have the replacement chaps. The stitching on this replacement pair is sloppy like mine, but panels are proportionate to each other and rivets in place. (no communication from them regarding receiving the defective item back and replacement in process) Again, when you call, you get utmost courtesy and you do get answersjust don't expect any communication beyond what you put into it. Bottom line = Yes these are sturdy and protective and for the coin, a good deal, and we should get many years of use, just don't have high quality expectations on the details. My rating is four stars for ruggedness, three stars for overall product.

Comment: I purchased a pair of the Zip-out insulated and lined chaps. I followed their sizing chart and was surprised they run very large. Disappointing for me but an eve bigger disappointment that they are out of my size. They are a great quality of chaps and I would recommend purchasing them.
