I am very pleased with the jacket I purchased and it very comfortable to wear. Leather appears to be of top quality, the finished quality of the jacket is very high and the ample pockets are great. Color and style are exactly as shown on the website.
A special thanks goes to all the staff who helped with me order and the service I received was absolutely top rate. It is terrific to deal people who care about their customers. Well done.
I waited to write this until I had road-tested this Brown Distressed Cowhide Cafe-Style jacket. This morning I rode 145 miles to Indianapolis and back. It was 47 degrees and overcast. I ride a Kawasaki ZL600 Eliminator. No faring. Just the headlight out front.
This jacket is constructed of a heavy grade cowhide and the liner is removable, quilted, and sports knit cuffs to prevent air from blowing up the sleeves. If there was one gripe, it is that it has no storm flap behind the heavy metal zipper. (I didn't miss it, but it would be nice) There IS a usable pistol pocket on the left chest inside the outer layer's lining. The wide elastic band will accommodate a compact automatic or small revolver. The quilted liner has some pockets designed to hold cell phones and other handheld devices...Like the garage-door opener!
There are two vents below the arms on the back. Didn't try their effectiveness, but they probably work. I was warm on the trip. NOTHING penetrated the jacket. The coat is long enough that it ends below the tops of my hip-pockets, and overlaps my chaps. With my French Army surplus gloves tucked back into the leather cuffs, not a lot of cloth was exposed to the 65mph wind that I created (47 degrees @ 65mph = 34 degrees wind chill). I wear size LARGE work-shirts, 15-1/2 x 34 dress shirts, and a 44 blazer. This size LARGE Brown Distressed Cowhide Cafe-style jacket fits me perfectly. The heavy leather prevented fabric flapping and the back-balloon that cheaper jackets will deliver. It was smooth and probably lowered my drag co-efficient. What we have here is a quality riding jacket that is functional, great-looking, and will likely last a lifetime. In this day when black seems to be the required color, this brown cafe-style jacket steps out from the crowd and makes a statement. If only I had matching chaps... Jafrum gets an "A" for supplying a serious rider's jacket at a fair price.
