Suit looks very nice. Never heard of Jafrum, but I know them now. The suit in med. Fit over my leg. Joe rocket cool weather jacket with full armor, with enough sleeve & pant length. Sizing chart worked well. Won't get to use it until spring as we are already into winter here in the MO. snow belt. After reading the reviews, I couldn't pass up such a deal. I took it to a meeting and showed it to all my friends. So far it seems like it will do the job.
Even after reading the reviews, I was still amazed at the quality of the suit for the price. Knowing the product ahead of time, it would still be a value at full price. The fit is perfect and although I haven't used it while on the bike, I'm certain that it will do the job perfectly. The fit in all the key places to keep me dry are well put together. I will continue to share this suit with bikers that I meet along the way.
This is a great suit for lighter wear. I wanted it for Spring & Summer, early fall riding. Nice room in arms & legs. The elastic is a little tight when zipping up but stretches so it's all good. I thought it had side pockets along with the front pockets shown, but it doesn't. So used to the side pockets on the jacket. Wish they had more sizes in stock. Actually wanted a 2X but they only had the XL. It fits just wanted a little more room in the core/belly area. Overall, it's a nice quality rain suit.
This rain suit exceeded my expectations ! Better than advertised!
I have not had the oppurtunity to wear the rain suit yet. But when I received it I was very pleased with the quality and detailing of the suit.
Well made, fits great. True to size. So if you wear a 3XL t-shirt, order the 3XL suit. It's plenty roomy enough for layers of warm clothing underneath. The jacket fits great and has the mesh lining that keeps the material away from your body. That's great. But the pants DON'T have the mesh, and my legs were sweaty when I got to work only 30 minutes away in mid 40's damp weather.
The sleeves have elastic gathering at the cuff, but it's not enough to keep highway speed air from getting in there and pushing the sleeve up your arm. Perhaps a thumb loop similar to the stirrup on the pants could be added for this issue. The stirrup on the pants is a great idea and works well. I haven't had the chance to ride with this suit in a downpour, and hope I never do, but so far it's working pretty well keeping my upper body dry. The pocket on the pants is in an awkward location. Anything you put in it will be cramped once you mount your bike.
Outstanding product especially for the price.
I bought this suit for my husband and I liked it so much I ordered it for me as well. We haven't had a chance to use them yet but we are heading to Yosemite at the end of the month so we will defiantly be taking them with us.
I'm 5'10" 220, ordered XL. Fits great.
Very happy with the quality and fit of the rain suit.
Fit nicely over my riding gear. Color matched my bike, I especially liked the strap on the bottom that hooked under my heel to keep the pant legs from riding up.
I am pleased with the order and product, The ordering was simple and shipping was prompt.
Decent quality for the money yet to try them in the rain.
I purchased this rain suit for my husband, he is hard to please, he gave it 5 stars, for fit, color & quality.
Pretty good suit for the money. Well made, fits well and looks good. Pretty much what you need without the frills.
I just received the suit & haven't rode with it yet but I know it'll keep me dry. I tried it on after it arrived & I really like it. It seems to be made well & has great features. I think it's an expensive suit at an inexpensive price.
The Thunder Under RS5001 two piece rainsuit is made from nylon. Nylon is a good fabric for a rainsuit because it is lightweight, easy to pack, and somewhat breathable. It can also be very reasonably priced. This complete suit with all of the features I'm about to show you is on sale on Jafrum.com for less than forty five dollars. The only downsides to nylon as a rainsuit fabric are that it is not flexible, most rainsuits aren't flexible, and it doesn't hold up to sunlight very well. All that means to you the rider is that you don't want to lay it out in the sun for extended periods of time to dry. If you take proper care of a nylon suit it will provide you with protection from the elements for many years and miles.
This rainsuit has almost every feature available in this type of apparel, and It is available in five color ways. The suits are primarily black with accent color choices of blue, yellow, orange, red and gray. There are high viz strips across the back and near the cuffs of the pants.
Let's take a closer look at the three quarter length jacket. This jacket has a durable plastic zipper that is covered by these dual panels and secured with a hook and loop system to ensure a waterproof closure. All the seams are tape sealed as well to keep the water out. The dual pockets on the front of the jacket have full width hook and loop closures making them nearly completely waterproof and share the highlight color of the shoulders.
The fit on this jacket is very good. There is a stretchy band all the way around the jacket to reduce buffeting at speed. The only adjustment features that are missing on this jacket that would be nice are maybe some adjusters on the sleeves and a draw cord system at the opening. They're nice to have to keep the jacket quiet especially if you ride a bike with little or no wind screen. The cuffs have stretchy material all the way around for a secure fit.
The interior of the jacket has been equipped with a mesh lining. This will help wick moisture away from your skin and also keep the rain gear from sticking to your skin when you start to sweat.
Now let's get a look at the pants. The waist of the pants is stretchy all the way around and has a draw string for adjustability. The cuffs of the legs are also adjustable. Open this high viz clad hook and loop closure to expose the zippered expanders with waterproof gussets. The pocket on the pants has a hook and loop closure system and is almost completely waterproof. There are reinforced panels in high wear areas on the both the backside and also on the legs where the fabric can come into high heat areas and rub on footpegs. The legs also have removable stirups to help keep your pantlegs from riding up and letting water into your boots.
