I bought this Firstgear Mesh Tex 2 jacket because living in western Colorado is HOT in the summer. The jacket is very well ventilated but well protective as well. The mesh is all over the jacket allowing air to move through the entire jacket. I love the high viz color allowing drivers to see me on the road. It fits me very well, has plenty of inside pockets for cell phone, etc. It has a rain liner in case you get caught. Take your measurements to ensure the fit is right. I got a 2x size but I am normally Large. The jacket must run small. It is a really good quality jacket for a reasonable price. Thanks, Jafrum.
Bought this mesh jacket for hot summer riding & it really does keep you cool when moving. I wanted something I could wear a short sleeve under but still be protected. The bright high visibility yellow color is fabulous & people have said they can see me from far away & I've noticed vehicles will start to move out in front of me but stop quickly when they see me. So not only does the jacket keep me cool and protected with all the armor but it also keeps me protected somewhat from cagers. The armor is very comfortable too. Sizing seems right at least for me. Only con to it is that the cuffs on the sleeves are a little loose and will not fit snug but I just bought a pair of gauntlet gloves to either wear over the cuffs or under. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another First Gear Jacket
