First, this is the only helmet that came in my size XXXXL, but I was glad that is was comfortable, affordable, and worth every cent. I wish they made a half helmet too.

Vega Altura Helmet Sizing
Helmet Sizing Information.
To achieve proper helmet fitment, begin by finding your head circumference size using the method described below. Remember that the helmet sizing you choose should fit around the crown of your head comfortably with no pressure points. The cheekpads should fit firmly around your face. Once your chin strap is fastened, grab the chin bar of the helmet and move it side to side. Your cheeks should move with the helmet, which should not slide across your face. Different thickness cheekpads can be purchased to obtain the perfect fit.

Good price for a helmet. Only thing I don't like is there isn't enough padding on the front of the helmet. Causes it to push the helmet back against your mouth during higher speeds.
Super fast shipping and item was just as it was advertised
Good quality helmet plenty of air holes so very little misting up of visor. The only reason that I haven't given five stars is because box states 5xl but the helmet in the box is only 4xl still fits ok so I kept it. Very good price and delivery was in time.
i use this helmet every day since i bought it, it's a excellent helmet for the price, i don't think you can find better deal, fits fine and has this air vents that refresh your face every single time even in a hots days.
Good quality. Fits like a glove.
I was replacing my old Vega Altura. The customer service was great. My order shipped on the same day that I placed the order and arrived two days later.
My girlfriend and I purchased a matching set for our 2016 Road Glide Ultra. We wanted a full face for those cold days. Great helmet for the money!! My Harley Davidson Headset fits perfectly. I love that the liner is removable. The vents provide adequate ventilation. At speeds above 55mph, you will have a little wind noise from the plastic hinges, but, for the money, you can't beat this product.
One word of caution...If you plan to add communication or have a melon head like me, order one size larger. The helmet provides a pouch for your speakers, but, it is a VERY snug fit. Other than the sizing (the only reason I gave 4 stars), I would HIGHLY recommend this helmet for anyone looking to add communication for those long rides.
Comfortable full face at a great price. DOT, but I hope I don't have to get in an accident to prove its as good as more expensive full face. First time my ears were not pinched. Visor and chin strap work fine, as does air vents. I think it looks ok for a full face. They also make a 5x.
My daughter picked this helmet out (the pink one) and I have to say that she has great taste! It's very sharp-looking and eye-catching which is always good for safety and style as well. It's lightweight and really comfortable. I think I'll buy another one so we can match!
Great helmet! Whenever I'm in the market for a new helmet I always get a Vega. Love the way they fit and plenty of ventilation.
I have one just like this and it is in my opinion the most comfortable helmet I've owned for the price. FULLY vented, vision radious is excellent, cheek pads can be taken out to be cleaned, but would highly recmd a quick release chin strap. The Vega is def. worth the price for the quality.
I like the Helmet ...
Great helmet for the price, little wind noise. In very cold weather (35) it does fog up at stop lights. I'm going to get my wife one
Just took this helmet for its first ride. I got this helmet to wear during cold and rainy weather, it was 40 degrees today, went for a short 80 mile ride, the helmet was great, fix was great, very little noise. It did fog up a little at stop lights, once I got moving it was great. For the price it can't be beat
I recently purchased the VegaAltura helmet. My wife and I left the following day for the Blue Ridge Pkwy and Tail of the Dragon. I hads my doubts about such a reasonably priced helmet being comfortable for such a long trip. I was pleasantly surprised at how I was able to wear this helmet for 5 days and 1750 miles. this was my first time dealing with Jafrum, but it will not be my last. My order was delivered in a very timely manner as promised. I cannot find a single thing to say bad about this helmet.
This is a great helmet. It fits great and is comfortable.
I have had this helmet for about a year now, my head size is about 23 3/4 so I ordered a large and it fits pretty good. It gets a little loud at high speeds but its not too bad though. Venting is decent too. I only have 2 complaints with this helmet, the ear pads kind off hit me on the lower part of my ears and get a little sore, but that is after hours or riding though. My second complaint is the poor design of the visor latches on this helmet, not sure if all Vega helmets have this style latch type or just this model, but after a few times of switching the visors back and forth the spring in the latch starts bending sideways and popping out of a hole in the back of the latch that probably should me plugged after assembly. Its is a hole I think used to install the spring, I had to make a little piece of plastic and cut it to fit the slot in the back of the latch so the spring would stop popping out. Other than the visor latch problem its is not a bad helmet and would be nice if Vega would address this problem because I can't imagine that I am the only person this had happened to.
Recently purchased helment and I am very pleased with product. Have suggested product and web site to friends.
Great fitting helmet, fits every bit as good as 100+ HJC I have had in the past, only one spot in the middle of my forehead that it gave me a red spot on after I took it off, but I'm just getting it broke in though. I have a 23' oblong shaped head, you can tell this helmet is kind of designed in the middle to fit round and oblong shaped heads due to there is a tiny gap on either side of my forehead, I got a large and it fits pretty good and snug. Venting is good as well, only place I sweat is at cheek areas, but when it's 100 degrees out with a flat black helmet what can I expect. The face sheild is kind of tight at first but it loosens up after a while. When I first put it on it was a little noisy when you approached crusing speed but now that I am used to it it's not that bad. I really like this helmet, it's well worth the 70 bucks and I would definately reccomend this helmet to others.
