Vega X888 Helmet Sizing

Helmet Sizing Information.

To achieve proper helmet fitment, begin by finding your head circumference size using the method described below. Remember that the helmet sizing you choose should fit around the crown of your head comfortably with no pressure points. The cheekpads should fit firmly around your face. Once your chin strap is fastened, grab the chin bar of the helmet and move it side to side. Your cheeks should move with the helmet, which should not slide across your face. Different thickness cheekpads can be purchased to obtain the perfect fit.

Head Measurement Instructions.

Wrap flexible tape measure around your head approximately on inch above eyebrows and ears. Use this measurement (in either inches or centimeters) to find your helmet size in the chart below.

Awesome Look

This helmet looks fantastic. I am very concerned about the size. I wear a L and ordered an XL for my Father. I slide it on to try it out and it was extremely tight. Will return if it doesn't fit him.

Vega X888 Helmet

Light weight helmet 1450g for the size small. Wish the liner was removable. I just got the helmet, so I can't say how it feels to ride in. Overall a good helmet for the money. Good fit. I would say it's for a more round head.

My 14 yr old grandson was getting a motor bike for Xmas. A helmet was mandatory so he got on the internet and found this one for the best price. It came when they said it would and he uses it. Great product.

Vega X888 Helmet Review

I love this helmet. It feels great having it on in the living room. Apparently, Jaffrum doesn't take logistics into account when it offers a chance to win $100. I'll let you know in May when I can actually where the helmet outside, on the bike, in Minnesota!

Very good

This is definitely a very good helmet for the price, which can't be beat. It's surprisingly lightweight which is actually a plus because it's very comfortable while wearing. It has a nice snug fit without being suffocating. My only critique is that I cannot wear my prescription glasses with this helmet because it pushes at my temples and the bridge of my nose making uncomfortable to have glasses on. But my spouse wears contacts and therefore thinks the helmet is excellent. Apparently now it's hers, and I'll have to get a different one for myself. Lol.

Good Helmet

by - verified purchaser
This was my first helmet and I had no idea what I was getting into. With that being said I got this helmet for about $75 a while back and I couldn't be much happier with it. Super comfortable. My only negatives are that the lining does not come out, but you can work around it. Seems to fog up easily, but I dont know that that isn't the case for all helmet. Great price for a good helmet. Would definitely buy again.

The Vega X888 is a good option for the budget conscious rider that is looking for a value priced helmet that is both DOT and ECE approved. If you're looking for a helmet with all the high tech bells and whistles, this isn't it, but at less than sixty bucks, you're definitely getting a lot for a little. The shell is constructed using a thermoplastic material and this XL weighs in at 3.3 pounds which is incredibly lightweight for a helmet at this price point. The fitment is a little snug with this model. The fitment chart suggests a large for my head circumference, but I had to go to an XL, so keep that in mind when ordering. The ventilation is completely tolerable on the X888. Typically, the Venturi vents on helmets of this price point are just for show, but these are actually functional. There is fog management ventilation on the chin bar, and adjustable vents on the forehead. There are also exhaust vent ports for extracting hot air hidden in the spoiler. The shield system leaves a little to be desired but again, 60 bucks retail. To remove it, you align the arrows on the shield with the dots on the base plate. Then you pull really hard and wrinkle up your face. This part is important. If you don't make a weird face, the shield might not come off, so make sure you make lots of weird faces, as often as possible, to make sure you are well practiced when the time comes for shield removal. Although not removable, the liner is pretty decent. It's plush and comfortable, and made from a moisture wicking material. The only negative I can see is that while Vega boasts and Easy Com interior, I find thick foam in the speaker area and the cheek pads are glued in so removing the inserts seems impossible. No love lost here, though. If a rider is willing to put a couple hundred dollar communication device  into a 60 dollar helmet, a difficult install is probably the least of his or her worries.
