LS2 Metro Firefly Black Modular Helmet
LS2 Metro Firefly Black Modular Helmet.
The LS2 Helmets Metro Modular Motorcycle helmet is one of the most innovative flip-up style helmets ever developed. The chin bar has four removable plates that cover large intake vents. Removing them gives you ventilation similar to an MX helmet for those tours through the desert. Close them up for the high altitudes. Our lightweight, aerodynamic shell is made from LS2's proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) ? 3 shell sizes to allow for a perfect fit and the smallest shell possible. A full metal latch assures the chin bar will stay locked when closed, and a solid detent at the top so it won?t drop unexpectedly. There?s an additional locking switch that allows you to lock the chin bar in the open position. The Metro is dual homologated as both a full face and an open face design. The shield is optically correct and uses LS2?s FogFighter fog resistant treatment for the maximum in fog protection. The shield is scratch and UV resistant and can be changed quickly and easily with our tool-less quick change system. The Metro uses our Twin Shield System drop down sun shield. Its cable-operated switch is smooth, and easy to use even with a gloved hand. The removable, washable comfort padding uses breathable technical fabric and is easy to keep as fresh as new. Our cheek pads use ultra-high quality foam that is cut to shape using LS2?s 3D laser technology for all day comfort and no hot spots. Fully adjustable, flow through ventilation keeps you cool and more in control when the weather gets rough. A DOT approved quick release chinstrap makes it a breeze to get the helmet off and on your head. Long oval fit. Meets or exceeds DOT standards.

Measuring for a motorcycle helmet is important. Get a helmet that is too small, and you?ll end up with a headache and a very uncomfortable ride. Get one that is too big, and you might as well wear a hat, since that?s about all the protection you?ll enjoy. A helmet needs to fit properly, with a very slight movement when tugged by your hand. So getting the right size measurement of your head is very important.

Awesome Awesome Awesome Helmet
Posted onI bought this helmet a month ago and I'm super happy with my choice. I live in tropical hot weather- Key West Florida. It is super hot and humid in here so I wow looking for something white, (not really fancy like black) so the sun doesn't cook my head, in price up to 800$. I tried a few helmets. Didn't work at all with me - they were all hot or not comfortable (pushing my cheeks out) and heavy. They are all always saying "the lightest, coolest or super quiet ". The SL2 Metro is the best helmet I've had so far. The price for the value is great, it is the lightest helmet I've ever had, it looks great for gray even is white on the top. The sun shield goes down perfectly covered your face -not too dark not to bright. Super comfortable pads inside around the face - they don't go over your cheeks at all - which is another warm point in other helmets - and the BEST PART - the coolest helmet perfect for hot weather!! I can finally feel the air on my forehead and on the front face - super nice!! This helmet is not very quiet but the reason is the great ventilation- something for something. In the Island or city, you not going to ride more than 40-50 miles/h so the noise is ok - I have 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R with custom short loud exhaust. Once again perfect helmet in every point for hot weather! And the last thing - the sizing is perfect as well. I wish I could discover it earlier and not struggling with heat in my head.
